My Experience With Pepeng

As the Philippines still recovers from typhoon Ondoy’s devastation, here comes Pepeng who is said to be a possible Super Typhoon once it strengthen within the next few hours.

When I board German Espiritu bus across MERALCO Balagtas branch at about 4:00pm, I thought my fare will only take about 2 hours to Bicutan, completely ignoring that it’s Friday. It only got into me when I arrived at Ayala MRT, when I was literally stuck for about 5 seconds at the train’s doors that I had to calmly ask those who wanted to simultaneously enter to first give way to me and my big camping bag.

I completely understood the worries of so many, anxiously hoping to immediate board the next train that arrives given the government’s warning of Pepeng’s possible worse effects.

If I didn’t took the effort to traverse EDSA until I reached Buandia Avenue for a bus, I could not be home by just past 8pm.
